Basketball Recap: Normal University Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Normal University entered their tilt with Rochester on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 45-28 win over the Rockets. Those 45 points were actually the fewest the Pioneers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Rochester lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Reece Gade, who posted eight points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 46.2% shooting accuracy. Khordell Gregory was another key player, putting up seven points.

Normal University's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Rochester, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Normal University is set to challenge their familiar foe MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rochester will square off against rival Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
