Baseball Recap: Pawhuska Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pawnee last Tuesday, Pawhuska came back down to earth. Pawhuska lost 10-3 to the Kellyville Ponies on Thursday. The Huskies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Pawhuska saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Corlin Cass, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Even though they lost, Pawhuska hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

Pawhuska now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Kellyville, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pawhuska will head out to face off against Caney Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kellyville, they will venture away from home to square off against Metro Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
