Jeremiah Alvarado put in work no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs but no hits. Alvarado was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season.
In other batting news, Isaias Rodriguez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole five bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Kevin Smith was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while going 2-for-3.
The win got Steinmetz College Prep back to even at 1-1.
Looking ahead, Bulls College Prep will head out to take on Goode STEM Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Steinmetz College Prep, they will face off against Noble Street College Prep at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
