The Rose Bud Ramblers will be taking part in a tournament against the Dardanelle Sand Lizards at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Rose Bud made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Carlisle, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Rose Bud put the hurt on Carlisle with a sharp 11-1 win on Friday. Considering the Ramblers have won seven contests by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jay Bell made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Bell was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Calan English was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Coleby Compton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Rose Bud was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .417 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dardanelle). Everything went their way against Waldron last Friday as Dardanelle made off with a 19-3 victory. The Sand Lizards haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Kam Olson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Dardanelle is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Olson was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases.
In other batting news, Dardanelle let Cam Evans and Scout Bull run wild. Evans went 2-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double, while Bull scored four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Restin Robinson, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Rose Bud is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. Dardanelle's win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Dardanelle's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rose Bud hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .371. It's a different story for Dardanelle, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain Rose Bud's hitters?
