Madison Academy couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by Faith Baptist at home  and fell  58-25. Madison Academy has struggled against Faith Baptist recently, as their  contest on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
  Amy Ahrens was the offensive standout of the  matchup as she  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and 10  rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which  she has scored at least 25% of Faith Baptist's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alyssa Ahrens, who  scored 9 points along with 5  steals.
 Madison Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Faith Baptist,  the  win  makes it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-0.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hamady at 5:30  p.m.  on January 19, 2024. As for Faith Baptist, they will look to defend their home court  on December 12th against CHASE at 4:30  p.m.
