Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Greene County had to settle for a 51-49 loss against George County on Saturday.
Greene County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Yabarrai Bolton, who scored 16 points, and Jase Matthews who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The match was Matthews' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Braedon Spivery was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 7 assists and 7 rebounds.
Northeast Jones has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Greene County, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-6.
Northeast Jones suffered a grim 74-48 defeat to Greene County in their previous matchup back in January of 2015.
