Justin Precanico spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.
On the hitting side, Seminole Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Endemann, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another was Kane Decker, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Vero Beach put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Centennial get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.
Sebastian Dimitroff tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.
At the plate, Garret Srigley was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Ashton Wetmiller was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Vero Beach's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Seminole Ridge, their record is now 7-5.
Seminole Ridge came up short against Vero Beach in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 4-0. Can Seminole Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
