Shelbyville Central added to the longest winning streak in AAA District 8 this week by beating Coffee County Central, 48-11. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Golden Eagles.
Shelbyville Central took down the Red Raiders 48-11 last week, the largest margin of any game. Mason Cunningham threw for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 34 yards in the win.
Cunningham and Michael Eddings gave Jason Hardy's team a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Teammate Cunningham added to the ground attack by rushing for 34 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Hunter Myers of Tullahoma is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,207. He has also thrown 7 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Tyler Eddings. The Shelbyville Central star has 18 catches for 441 yards.
