Curtis Baptist came out on top against the Rams by a score of 79-69 on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Curtis Baptist's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ty Shine, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine assists. Shine has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Treivan Wright, who scored 20 points along with two steals.
Curtis Baptist's win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Ragin Prep Christian Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.
Curtis Baptist will take on the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson Davis Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 268th in South Carolina, while the Crusaders are ranked 118th in Georgia). As for Ragin Prep Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Scott's Branch is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
