The Scituate Sailors and the Duxbury Dragons squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Scituate Sailors had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Dragons on the road and fell 62-33. Scituate's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Several Sailors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jackson Thomas Belsan, who threw for 341 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt. Alex Burrill was in the mix as well, providing Scituate with two touchdowns.
Scituate's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Duxbury, they have yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 10-1 record.
Scituate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Duxbury also has no future games currently scheduled.
