Two dominant players in Gideon Allen and Taelan Whitley are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The West Lincoln Rebels and the Stuart W. Cramer Storm will face off at 10:30 a.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for West Lincoln and four for Stuart W. Cramer.
West Lincoln pushed their score all the way to 70 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 83-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Gaston. West Lincoln has not had much luck with East Gaston recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, Stuart W. Cramer was beaten by Lincolnton 93-51 on Thursday. Stuart W. Cramer was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-22.
Despite their defeat, Stuart W. Cramer saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Whitley, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Whitley has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Jay Westmoreland was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
West Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Stuart W. Cramer, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
