The University Trojans suffered their biggest defeat since November 14, 2023 on Monday. They were dealt a 113-77 loss at the hands of Northwood. University has not had much luck with Northwood recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why University lost, one person who can't be blamed is Andrew Bogard. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with five assists and two blocks. Isaac Evans was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five assists and two steals.
Zaid Yunis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northwood, scoring 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Yunis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Liu, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
University's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Northwood, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.
University will head out on the road to square off against Irvine at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Irvine focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Monday. As for Northwood, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Woodbridge at 7:00 p.m.
