The Brushton-Moira Panthers won the last time they faced the Colton-Pierrepont Colts, and things went their way on Friday too. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Brushton-Moira made off with a 37-36 victory over Colton-Pierrepont. The win made it back-to-back wins for Brushton-Moira.
Despite the loss, Colton-Pierrepont still got an impressive performance from Eric Friedel, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That was a full 58.3% of Colton-Pierrepont's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Cody Trimm was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Brushton-Moira has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Colton-Pierrepont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brushton-Moira will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tupper Lake at 7:15 p.m. on January 25th.
