Plum is a perfect 10-0 against Franklin Regional since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Mustangs will face off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Plum will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Wednesday, Plum narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Kiski Area 7-6.
Plum got a great performance from Braden Kemmerer as he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. Kemmerer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Plum's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jake Dombkowski, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave Dombkowski a new career-high. Connor Wilson was another, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Franklin Regional came out on top against Armstrong on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Panthers never let the River Hawks get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the River Hawks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Not much got past Jonah Willochel, who gave up just four hits to keep Armstrong off the board.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on NJ Ramchandran, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Lemke, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Plum pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin Regional, their record is now 10-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Plum has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Franklin Regional struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Plum beat Franklin Regional 12-7 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
