Valley View has gone a perfect 4-0 against Orange Vista recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Valley View Eagles will square off against the Orange Vista Coyotes at 3:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Valley View had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Patriot on Saturday. Valley View's pitchers stepped up to hand Patriot a 13-0 shutout.

The team relied heavily on Alyssa Torres, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Jacqueline Divine, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
Valley View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Orange Vista). They came out on top against Arlington by a score of 8-3 on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Ciera Overton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits.
On the hitting side, Orange Vista let Nevaeh Bachman and Lina Robles run wild. Bachman went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Robles went 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was Bachman's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Macai Johnson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Valley View's record is now 3-0. As for Orange Vista, their record is now 3-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Valley View hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Orange Vista struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Valley View's way against Orange Vista when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Valley View made off with a 7-0 win. Does Valley View have another victory up their sleeve, or will Orange Vista turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
