The Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle posted their biggest victory since December 9, 2023 on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 68-34 win over Hunter. The win was nothing new for Juan Diego Catholic as they're now sitting on three straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Juan Diego Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Javier Aguirre, who scored 15 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aguirre has scored all season. Rahiti Tinirauarii was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Hunter still got an impressive performance from Zaquel Cossa, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Uluaki Taukiuvea, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Juan Diego Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Hunter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
