Mineral Point has gone a perfect 10-0 against Southwestern recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Pointers will square off against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mineral Point has 12 straight victories, Southwestern has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Mineral Point came out on top against Deerfield on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Pointers walked away with a 6-1 win over the Demons.

Tenleigh Bockhop spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Austyn Kinch was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2025. Kendall Wenger was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Mineral Point hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Southwestern's offense. They lost 12-0 to Cuba City on Thursday.
Southwestern saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Rogers, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Rogers has snagged this season.
Mineral Point's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Southwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Southwestern's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mineral Point has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Southwestern, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Mineral Point's sizable advantage in that area, the Wildcats will need to find a way to close that gap.
Mineral Point got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April against Southwestern by a conclusive 16-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pointers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
