Morenci is a perfect 10-0 against Miami since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Morenci Wildcats will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Miami Vandals at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Morenci barely beat Northwest Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went Morenci's way against Northwest Christian on Saturday as Morenci made off with a 14-2 win.
Cameryn Woodall was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Woodall was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Miami, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on Arizona Lutheran Academy with a sharp 13-3 victory on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Vandals considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Miami's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Morenci, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Morenci took their win against Miami in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 16-0. Does Morenci have another victory up their sleeve, or will Miami turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
