The biggest upset of the week belonged to Penn Yan Academy, who took down 473rd ranked Penn Yan Academy, 28-27.
Geneva extended the longest winning streak in Section 5 Finger Lakes - East this week by beating Honeoye Falls-Lima, 44-20. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Palmyra-Macedon's Stephen Morrell and Joshua Lennon have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Morrell has thrown for 1671 yards this season, while Lennon, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 28 catches for 723 yards. Wayne's Justin Morrison leads the league in rushing yards with 735.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when East Rochester-Gananda takes on Newark. At the moment, the Bombers are in second, while the Reds are in third.
Midlakes moved up to 501 from 546 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 5 Finger Lakes - East. The Screaming Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Mustangs 28-27.
