The Niceville Eagles came tearing into Tuesday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Milton 44-25. Given Niceville's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Milton is ranked 221st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Niceville had a senior duo take command as Anna Kimball scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and Kiyah Hatcher scored eight points along with five steals. Carson Fayard was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds.
Niceville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Milton, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Niceville will take on Pace at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Milton won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Gulf Breeze at 6:45 p.m. on January 24th.
