Mountain Empire played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and got just the result they were looking for. They put the hurt on the Monarch Royals with a sharp 3-0 win. The Redhawks haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Mountain Empire not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Monarch between 15 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-17.

Andrew Sepulveda paced Mountain Empire's offense, picking up ten kills. Sepulveda got some help from Oscar Plasencia and his 16 assists. Plasencia was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Mountain Empire's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Monarch, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Coming up, Mountain Empire will face off against High Tech CV at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Monarch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwest SD at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
