While Prairie View Academy put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for River Oaks. The Prairie View Academy Spartans put the hurt on the River Oaks Mustangs with a sharp 18-0 win. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Abram Anthony made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Anthony was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bax Young, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Peyton Robinson, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Prairie View Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Prairie View Academy's record now sits at 4-1. As for River Oaks, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season.
