This season hasn't been kind to the Harmony School of Discovery Tigers, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They were outmatched by Hempstead on the road and fell 92-44. Harmony School of Discovery was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-16.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alfonso Chaparro, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chaparro has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Messiah Graves, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Hempstead's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamari Idlebird, who scored 19 points. That's the first time this season that Idlebird scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of JaMarion Mickles, who scored 19 points.
Harmony School of Discovery's loss was their 11th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hempstead, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
Harmony School of Discovery will be playing at home against Hitchcock at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hitchcock will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Hempstead, they will head out on the road to challenge Van Vleck at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Van Vleck focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Tuesday.
