After only two runs in their last contest, Stagg made sure to put some runs up on the board against Chavez on Tuesday. The Delta Kings blew past the Titans 11-0. Considering the Delta Kings have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Aerie Garcia was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Stagg got a big performance out of Adriana Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sonnie Flores, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Stagg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chavez only posted a batting average of .053.
Stagg pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Chavez, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
