Adding to the longest winning streak in Mountain State this week, Huntington beat Cabell Midland 19-7,. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Spring Valley was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 12th to eighth in the league. The Timberwolves defeated Ripley 75-14 earlier in the week.
Parkersburg's dynamic duo of Josh Trembly and Dan Fox proved to be unstoppable against Capital, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Trembly threw for 68 yards and Fox had 85 yards receiving.
The Big Reds' dynamic duo of Trembly and Fox proved tough for the Cougars to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Fox was the best wideout in the league this week as Parkersburg lost to Capital.
Brayden Underwood provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Nitro lost to South Charleston. Underwood's favorite target this week was Dalton Voiles, who caught 2 passes for 20 yards.
Underwood was the best running back in Mountain State this week. He ran for 171 yards on 31 carries as the Wildcats lost to Jack Woolwine's team. Teammate Nick Brown added to the ground attack by rushing for 89 yards.
Trembly put up the best numbers in passing as the Big Reds fell to the Cougars.
Wilson's BRENT OSBORNE and CHASE HANCOCK have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. OSBORNE has thrown for 566 yards this season, while HANCOCK, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 16 catches for 295 yards. Kasey Thomas from the Knights leads the league in rushing with 584 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Cabell Midland and Hurricane. Luke Salmons' team enters the contest ranked fifth in the state, while the Redskins ranks 11th.
Riverside lost to George Washington 76-9 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cole Sigman was a bright spot for the Warriors, as he threw for 143 yards in the loss.
