Menomonee Falls entered their tilt with Wauwatosa West on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 3-0 win. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Phoenix yet this season.

While Menomonee Falls won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16, 25-23.

Daniel Poulakos paced Menomonee Falls' offense, picking up 18 kills. Poulakos got some help from Ben Kuhn and his 21 assists. Poulakos was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Menomonee Falls' victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 14-11. As for Wauwatosa West, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15.
