Gibson Southern has gone a perfect 7-0 against Washington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Titans will take on the Hatchets at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Gibson Southern's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four contests.
Gibson Southern's offense will try to repeat the strong performance it gave on Friday, when they got past Heritage Hills' usually-dominant defense. The Titans snuck past the Patriots with a 38-34 victory.

Zach Foster continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 171 yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 143 yards and one touchdown. Those 171 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gibson Southern was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 285 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 195 rushing yards in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Washington hadn't done well against Boonville recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Hatchets came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 26-14.
Washington's win came from a few key players Gibson Southern will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cooper Wright, who threw for 190 yards and two TDs on only ten passes. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making nine total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception. Cordell Turner got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Washington didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Wright and Benjamin Merold.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed 14 in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Turner, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Gibson Southern's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.7 points over those games. As for Washington, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Gibson Southern has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 406.7 total yards per game. It's a different story for Washington, though, as they've been averaging only 246.2 total yards. Will Gibson Southern be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Hatchets flip the script?
Everything came up roses for Gibson Southern against Washington in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 39-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
