Grayson Gibson put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.
Gibson wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Johnathan Corona, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Belleview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Holmes County, falling 12-0. That's two games in a row now that the Rattlers have lost by exactly 12 runs.
Bay's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Belleview, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
