The Darien Blue Wave were the 71-37 winner over the Harding Presidents when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Darien took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harding on Wednesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Harding got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Craig Chandler out in front who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. O'Naveis O'Reagan was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Darien's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Harding, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Darien will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Newtown at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Newtown's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Harding, they will head out on the road to face off against Trumbull at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
