After seven games on the road, Plenty Coups is heading back home. They will take on the Reed Point/Rapelje Renegades at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Plenty Coups has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 470 points over their last seven contests.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Plenty Coups had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 74-72 win over the Scouts. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Reed Point/Rapelje's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 14th straight loss. The contest between them and Roberts wasn't particularly close, with Reed Point/Rapelje falling 57-42. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Reed Point/Rapelje in their matchups with Roberts: they've now lost four in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Landen Bryant, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten assists. Ben Broyles was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Plenty Coups pushed their record up to 6-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Reed Point/Rapelje, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
