The Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 37-7 victory over Baldwin on the road. The win was just what Mt. Lebanon needed coming off of a 42-0 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mt. Lebanon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Fred LaSota, who rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Michael Malone also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Mt. Lebanon now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Baldwin, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Lebanon will take on Canon-McMillan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Canon-McMillan is ranked 36th, while Mt. Lebanon is ranked 42nd). As for Baldwin, they will head out on the road to face off against Moon Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
