The King Crusaders's road trip will continue as they head out to face the East Lansing Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard on Wednesday.
King scored the most points they've had all season to find success two weeks ago. They came out on top against Saginaw by a score of 74-67. Given King's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Saginaw is ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, East Lansing put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Saline for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-45 win at home. East Lansing might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matchups by 29 points or more this season.
Cameron Hutson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Jayce (JL) Branson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with three steals.
King's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for East Lansing, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
