Parish Hill's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 13-9 win over the Metropolitan Learning Center Dragons. With that victory, the Pirates brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.
Julie Millerd made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off four hits. Millerd was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Eva Donnelly-Hardisty and Allison Butts did most of the damage at the plate: Donnelly-Hardisty got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, six stolen bases, and four runs, while Butts got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs Butts has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Amelia Sears, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
