Miami East had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Franklin Monroe Jets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2021.

Miami East's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Franklin Monroe, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-11.

Coming up, Miami East will head out to take on Bethel at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin Monroe, they will face off against Greenon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Jets are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
