This season hasn't been kind to the Eek Cougars, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were beaten by Kongiganak 67-33 on Saturday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eek in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now lost four in a row.
Leading Kongiganak to victory were Mariah Tinker and Maegan Miller. Tinker scored 18 points, while Miller scored 20 points. Tinker is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Carson Miller was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Eek dropped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Kongiganak, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Eek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kongiganak also has no future games currently scheduled.
