Softball Game Preview: Perryville Mustangs vs. Nemo Vista Red Hawks

The Perryville Mustangs will challenge the Nemo Vista Red Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Perryville's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.

Nemo Vista's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Perryville hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. Perryville's pitcher stepped up to hand Danville a 17-0 shutout on Friday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Little Johns recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Ainsley Tippen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Tippen was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs.

In other batting news, A Goodwin was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. K Erwin was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Nemo Vista was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They fell 7-2 to Bigelow. The Red Hawks have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

Perryville's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Nemo Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
