For the first time this season, Greene County will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup  on Tuesday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pass Christian Pirates  at 6:30  p.m. Greene County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

 Addie Tungett made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4. She also  hit a  double, marking her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Shanna Johnson was  incredible,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4. What's more,  she posted three  RBI, the most she's  had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Zamiah Knight, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Pass Christian's offense. They lost  10-0 to George County on Saturday. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost three in a row.
 Pass Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Greene County, they now  have a winning record of 5-4.
 Greene County couldn't quite finish off Pass Christian in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024 and fell  4-2. Can Greene County avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
