The Blue Mountain Cougars lost to the Falkner Eagles back in November, but the Blue Mountain Cougars didn't allow the Falkner Eagles the same satisfaction on Thursday. Blue Mountain put the hurt on Falkner with a sharp 50-29 victory.
Falkner's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Elijah Mauney, who scored 10 points, and Chris Nunley who scored 11 points. Nunley scored a full 37.9% of Falkner's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Blue Mountain's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Falkner, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue Mountain will square off against Wheeler at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Falkner won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Houlka at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Houlka focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday.
