North Johnston scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 82-42 win over Spring Creek. North Johnston has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Marcel Freeman, who scored 33 points along with eight steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of North Johnston's points. Another player making a difference was Cory Barnes, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Beddingfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 63-56 to Goldsboro. Beddingfield has struggled against the Cougars recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
North Johnston has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Beddingfield, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
