Football Recap: Julian Hernandez Key Part of Team Effort in Rattlers Win + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Rancho Mirage, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They secured a 35-29 W over the Jurupa Hills Spartans on Friday. This was payback for the Rattlers, who suffered a 30-27 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Rancho Mirage's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julian Hernandez, who threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 69 yards and one TD. Those 241 passing yards gave Hernandez a new career-high. Rancho Mirage's leading receiver Jeremiah Johnson was Hernandez's top target yet again, picking up 138 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Although Jurupa Hills took the loss, they still got scores from GILBERTO CENTENO and ISRAEL LUNA.

Rancho Mirage now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Jurupa Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Coming up, after each having a week off, Rancho Mirage and Shadow Hills will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The Knights will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Jurupa Hills, they have already played their next game, a 29-22 victory against Colton on the 26th.
