The Keyser Golden Tornado will head out to challenge the Robert C. Byrd Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Keyser took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Berkeley Springs get on the board and left with a 5-0 win.
Landon Tysinger made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Tysinger was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Sawyer Rodeheaver tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Cole Holland, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.
Meanwhile, Robert C. Byrd got the win against Philip Barbour on Thursday by a conclusive 10-3. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
Like Keyser, Robert C. Byrd also got a great game from a two-way player: Xavier Carvelli. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Carvelli has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, James Barnett was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. Another player making a difference was JD Ford, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Robert C. Byrd was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Keyser's record is now 6-17-1. As for Robert C. Byrd, their record now sits at 15-9.
