Softball Recap: Ouachita Parish Has No Trouble Against St. Frederick

Ouachita Parish made up a huge gap compared to their last game against St. Frederick, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lions blew past the Warriors 13-3 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 12 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Ouachita Parish got a massive performance out of Madisyn Lenard, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Lenard has posted since back in March. Taylor Madison was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

Ouachita Parish always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Ouachita Parish has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-15 record this season. As for St. Frederick, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ouachita Parish will host Jena at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Giants' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Frederick, they will be playing at home against Carroll at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
