The Harlan Cyclones waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 63-51 win over Blair. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Harlan also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Harlan's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Blair, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harlan will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Underwood at 4:30 p.m. on January 20th. Underwood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Harlan in Iowa (Underwood is ranked ninth, while Harlan is ranked 51st). As for Blair, they will head out on the road to square off against Wahoo at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wahoo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Blair likes a good challenge.
