The Interlachen Rams will take on the Newberry Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Interlachen is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-47 victory over Baldwin.

Kemontae Nixon was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 boards. He has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Devon Williams, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points.
Interlachen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Newberry put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to P.K. Yonge for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-34 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.
Newberry's win came from a few key players Interlachen will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jacob Green, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Henry Matthias, who had eight points and three steals.
Newberry pushed their record up to 21-0 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points per game. As for Interlachen, their record is now 12-13.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Interlachen has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 36.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Newberry struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.1 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Interlachen came up short against Newberry in their previous matchup back in February of 2021, falling 69-65. Can Interlachen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
