Even though the Lincolnview Lancers have not done well against the Spencerville Bearcats recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Lincolnview managed a 48-44 win over Spencerville. For Lincolnview, this counts as revenge for the 51-34 defeat Spencerville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincolnview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kassidy Hammons, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. Keira Breese was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists and four steals.
Lincolnview now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Spencerville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincolnview will take on Antwerp at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spencerville, they will head out on the road to face off against New Knoxville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
