Softball Recap: Memorial Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Memorial came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the St. Dominic Academy Blue Devils with a sharp 17-7 win. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Memorial's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for St. Dominic Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Memorial will head out on the road to challenge McNair Academic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
