The Liberty Lancers will head out on the road to face off against the River View Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Liberty has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while River View will arrive with five straight victories.
Last Friday, Liberty took a serious blow against Reardan, falling 54-13.
Meanwhile, River View earned a 26-13 win over Columbia on Thursday.
It was another big night for Karson Rawlings, who rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns.
Liberty's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-0 Northwest Christian School (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 64.9% over those games). As for River View, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Liberty strolled past River View in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a score of 28-14. Will Liberty repeat their success, or does River View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
