First Assembly Christian Academy has gone 7-0 against Westwood Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The First Assembly Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Westwood Christian Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Tuesday, First Assembly Christian Academy made easy work of Hope Christian Academy and carried off a 63-42 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Jausten Rivera continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was BJ Paige, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and eight rebounds.
First Assembly Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hope Christian Academy only posted two assists.
Meanwhile, Westwood Christian had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.9 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They blew past the Lions 83-59. The Warriors pushed the score to 66-43 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions had little chance of recovering from.
First Assembly Christian Academy better focus on containing Tripp Kirkland and Jake Kirkland as the pair were huge in Westwood Christian's win. Tripp dropped a double-double on 26 points and 20 boards, while Jake almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds. The game was Tripp's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Thomas, who posted 14 points and five boards.
Westwood Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.3 points. As for First Assembly Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: First Assembly Christian Academy has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 32.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Westwood Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 46.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
