Edison is 9-1 against Will Rogers College since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The pair will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Edison's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
Even though Bishop Kelley scored an imposing 69 points on Saturday, Edison still came out on top. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, Edison made off with a 70-69 win over Bishop Kelley.
Meanwhile, Will Rogers College came up short against Memorial on Saturday and fell 58-46. While losing is never fun, Will Rogers College can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Memorial is ranked 46th).
Edison's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Will Rogers College, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.
Edison was able to grind out a solid win over Will Rogers College in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 55-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Edison since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
