It was a good run, but Providence Classical unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 65-64 to Glen Iris Baptist. Providence Classical was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Glen Iris Baptist apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played two weeks ago.
It was another big night for Joshua Everett, who scored 25 points along with eight assists and three steals for Glen Iris Baptist. Everett has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Elliot Dickey was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Providence Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Glen Iris Baptist, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Providence Classical will be playing at home against Master's Hand Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Glen Iris Baptist, they will head out on the road to challenge Tabernacle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
